Suzhou Train Station
Suzhou is a city only a 30-minute train ride from Shanghai. With a friend taking me around, it made a convenient hop off the busy metropolitan life of Shanghai to somewhere... less populous, but nevertheless crowded.
The ride was smooth and comfortable.

Getting out, though, was a bit of a problem

Our first stop was at the picturesque Lake Tai.

Next was Tiger Hill, believed to be the burial site of Wu King Helu.

For RMB 5, you get a 10 minute ride on a tricycle. Someone cycles while you can hide behind a curtain, keeping yourself dry.
